The 2013 Projected Premieres Schedule

Last weekend, Adult Swim ran their annual premiere schedule bump of dates that will probably never come to fruition and that will be moved around a bunch. It’s a bump that teases you about a new show coming or a new season coming at a specific time, yet sometimes it does not.

But, regardless, it is also a good gauge of what is and isn’t coming to the network soon. Compare it to the Upfront announcements. How many of the things you saw there are here? Some. Not all, though, but they could come next year. Or never (like Tight Bros).

Anyway, it’s nice to check out. Big thanks to NumyMufn on the ASMB for writing out the bump on the boards (I’ll update this with video of it, too, if that ever pops up). Let’s take a look:

January: Newsreaders

March: Delocated Finale, Loiter Squad, You’re Whole

April/May: Your Pretty Face, Venture Bros

June: The Eric Andre Show, Hot Package

July: Childrens Hospital, NTSF:SD:SUV::

August: Aqua Teen, Squidbillies

September/October: China IL, Check It Out

November/December: Eagleheart, The Heart She Holler

January has obviously almost come and gone, and Newsreaders has begun. Two episodes in, and it’s hilarious. Remember to check out our Swimcast with Newsreaders’ Louis LaFonda himself, Mather Zickel!

March has new Delocated, which we actually spoke about with Mather, and he hoped it would return as I expect a lot of people did. It’s the finale, though, which is sad. Whether or not it’s a season or a special, we don’t know yet, but we’ll let you know when we do. You’re Whole, Michael Ian Black’s fake infomercial series, returns too. Which is great. If you haven’t seen them yet, go for it. They’ll make you Whole.

Dave Willis’ You’re Pretty Face is Going to Hell is finally coming. Known as “Untitled Hell Project at the Upfront, here’s a reminder of what it’ll be:

Unititled Hell Project is about a guy named Gary. He’s a demon, working his way up the corporate underworld. This’ll be a live action, Williams Street production, created and directed by Dave Willis and Casper Kelly.

And Venture Bros returns. Of course, Venture turns over to Titmouse this season, and if the Halloween special is any indication, it’ll be the same old amazing Venture. Watch out.

The Eric Andre Show returns for a season two! Some may be unhappy, some will be elated. And hopefully, a new season means a new live tour, which is something you shoulddefinitely not miss. It’s lots of fun.

Hot Package is also on its way. Its description from our Upfront news post:

Hot Package is a spoof on celebrity gossip shows, and it takes place in Canada. It was created by and stars TV Carnage’s Derrick Beckles, who also starred in and created the pilot The Best of Totally 4 Teens, which was [...] also a parody, but of teen PSAs and programming. Check the show out come fall, it should be good.

Childrens, NTSF, Aqua Teen, and Squids all return, of course. What Aqua Teen will be called this year is yet to be revealed.

China, IL is back. Half hour episodes, and a new character voiced by Hannibal Buress. Check our Panel Recap and Interview with creator Brad Neely and executive producer Daniel Weidenfeld from NYCC 2012 to get into the mood for new China, IL and get a feel for what’s happening this year at UCI.

Check it Out With Dr. Steve Brule returns! As does the Conan O’Brien executive produced, Chris Elliott starring Eagleheart, and the awesome PFFR produced soap opera spoof The Heart, She Holler. This stars Patton Oswalt and Kristen Schaal amongst others and aired as a 6-episode miniseries in late 2011.

So here’s your year from Adult Swim. A lot to watch, a lot to DVR. Some of which will be moved around on the schedule a bunch, I’d bet. Another thanks to NumyMufn on the Adult Swim boards for the bump info.

Get set for shows. Happy Adult Swim Y2K13.

Why not 2k… 13?
